South Korea-based designer Dong Min Park makes rainy days a little less gloomy with his invention of the Rain Drum. The Rain Drum is made up of five wax cloths that each have a unique elasticity to imitate different drum sounds: hi-hat, tom-tom, crash, bass and snare. Although it is a little oddly shaped, and doesn’t look like it could be folded up easily, this looks like a pretty fun way to spend your rainy day. I wish he would invent a Rain Drum umbrella that sounded like a steel drum next, or maybe one that played some soothing music notes somehow!
